Company Information

Our client is delivering one of the most complex and high-profile nuclear defence projects in the UK, and we are seeking a skilled Designer to join the team. This site-based role is a great opportunity to bring your expertise in electronic security systems to a long-term, critical infrastructure programme.

Key responsibilities

Documented review of Supplier deliverables for both 4B & 4C designs. Preparation of supplier comment forms and management of close out of comments Prioritise workload to ensure reviews are completed in time to enable the suppliers to meet the Project delivery schedule

Generation of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), prior to raising a Design Change Note (DCN)Complete the Engineering technical assessment of Design changes to ensure the proposed solutions will maintain the Client Design Intent Approval of Technical Query (TQ) responses as C&I SQEP Assessor Attendance at Category C design reviews.

Representing C&I as delegated Technical Authority (TA)Liaison with the C&I TA as appropriate (Cat B design reviews) to ensure their timely input to avoid delay to the delivery schedule Technical review/approval of Non-Conformance Notice (NCN), Concession Request Forms (CRF) relating to C&ISupport to Certification of Design (CoD) process to ensure documentation is suitable for presentation for certification Ensure appropriate supplier co-ordination meetings are held and attend as necessary to ensure client requirements are being maintained

Required Qualifications/Skills

HNC or Degree

Work Schedule/Hours

  • 47.5 hours per week

  • Monday to Friday

  • On-site presence required (Burghfield)

Rate and Hours

  • Competitive rates offered – PAYE

  • Rate dependent on experience – Inside or Outside IR35
