Welders and Platers – RIG REPAIR

Company Information

Our client has over 20 years’ experience on/offshore in the Norwegian Oil & Gas industry. The company’s vision is to take a strong position in this marked based on Quality & Service. Their goal is to become our customer’s first choice and to be a significant and strong participant in this market.

They deliver multidiscipline jobs, management, personnel, remodelling, repair, installation and maintenance and we have a workshop with 30T crane to take large structures, pipelines and load tests.

Job Summary or Overview

Welding and plating work on an oil rig shutdown. The rig has been brought into the shipyard in Bergen to have some repairs done before it is up and running again.

Key Responsibilities

WELDER:

• Reading and Interpreting Blueprints
• Preparing Metal Surfaces
• Selecting Welding Processes
• Setting Up Welding Equipment
• Performing Welding Operations
• Maintaining Equipment
• Adhering to Safety Protocols

PLATER:

• Reading and Interpreting Blueprints
• Cutting and Shaping Metal
• Assembling Metal Components
• Performing Welding Operations
• Inspecting Work
• Using Measuring Tools
• Adhering to Safety Protocols

Required Qualifications/Skills

• MIG or STICK (IN DATE) stamped welding codes
• Plating/Fabrication apprenticeship papers
• Up-to-date CV

Work Schedule/Hours (Optional)

• 12 hr shifts
• 7 days a week
• Temporary work ONLY
  

Salary and Benefits

• €25ph – PAYE – Norwegian tax

Location

• Bergen, Norway (onshore)
