Vehicle Technician – York

Salary: £33,000 – £49,000 (depending on experience and qualifications, includes uncapped bonuses)
Hours: 40 hours per week

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join a prestigious dealership in York. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading brand in a modern workshop environment, with excellent training and career development prospects.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete work orders, detailing repairs, parts required, and labour.

• Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using measuring devices and report findings to the Workshop Controller.

• Interpret and apply technical data and manufacturer instructions.

• Carry out routine servicing, vehicle health checks, and technical repair work.

• Remove and install vehicle components in line with manufacturer guidelines.

• Prepare new and Approved Used vehicles for delivery.

• Record all hours worked, parts used, and ensure job cards are updated accurately.

• Report additional faults and keep the Service Manager/Workshop Controller informed.

• Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and cleanliness.

• Ensure the workshop is clean, safe, and well-organised.
