Job Title: Vehicle Technician – Carlisle

Salary: £33,000 – £49,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications, includes uncapped bonuses)

Hours: 40 per week – flexible working patterns considered

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Carlisle. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards, as well as diagnosing faults and preparing vehicles for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, repair, and maintenance work to manufacturer standards.

  • Diagnose vehicle faults and provide accurate reports to the Workshop Controller.

  • Interpret and apply technical data and manufacturer instructions.

  • Conduct vehicle health checks and prepare new/approved used vehicles.

  • Accurately record hours worked, parts used, and work completed.

  • Ensure vehicles meet safety standards before returning to customers.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is desirable).

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work to deadlines with a high standard of accuracy.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Full UK driving licence.
