Job Description:

Twilight Vehicle Technician – Carlisle

Salary: £33,000 – £49,000 (depending on experience and qualifications, includes uncapped bonuses)

Hours: Flexible – tailored to suit you (options include seasonal or term-time schedules, evening shifts, customised hours, and more – subject to availability).

We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Carlisle. This role offers flexibility to fit around your lifestyle, as well as excellent training and career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete work orders, recording repairs completed, parts required, and labour.

  • Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using measuring devices and report findings to the Workshop Controller.

  • Interpret and apply technical data and manufacturer instructions.

  • Carry out routine servicing, vehicle health checks, and technical repair work.

  • Remove and install vehicle components in line with manufacturer guidelines.

  • Prepare new and Approved Used vehicles.

  • Report additional faults and keep the Service Manager/Workshop Controller updated.

  • Record all hours worked and materials used accurately.

  • Ensure vehicles meet safety standards before being returned to customers.

  • Keep vehicles clean and protected during service and repair.

  • Maintain a tidy, safe workshop at the end of each shift.
