Our client is an acting Main Contractor working on a range of the commercial, industrial and logistics projects.

Job Summary or Overview

The role involves Quantity Surveying of a portfolio of projects in the Barrow area including Industrial, buildings, refurbishments and nuclear.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of sub contract packages
• Procurement
• Management of a portfolio of projects within the buildings and nuclear sectors

Skills

• The role is primarily site based and will provide commercial support to the project teams on all projects for which they are responsible.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor.
• Experience in commercial management.
• Experience in procurement of subcontractors, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations.
• Good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis.

• Ability to work in a team environment contributing across the business unit.
• Good management skills..
• Ensure that projects they are administered effectively and that the business objectives in terms of appropriate commercial targets and customer focus are achieved.
• Due to the nature of the work, the ability to obtain SC is required.
