Job Description:

We’re Hiring: Quality Engineer

Location: Teesside
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: TBC

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance, effective auditing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Execution: Plan, schedule, and conduct internal and external audits.

  • Contractual Compliance: Interpret and assess contractual quality requirements.

  • Documentation Review: Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and supplier records.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead systematic, evidence-based investigations to address issues at source.

  • Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and resolve non-conformances; drive corrective and preventive actions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure quality expectations are met.

  • Reporting: Prepare audit reports, dashboards, and quality metrics.

  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process and system improvements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in Technical/Quality Management.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in quality assurance.

  • Strong technical knowledge of pipelines and welding codes (BS 4515 / API 1104).

  • Professional knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.

  • Skilled in auditing techniques (ISO 19011).

  • Experience with quality documentation and workflows.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Certified Lead Auditor.

  • Experience supporting work through mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
