Offshore Scheduler

Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Contract: 2+ Year Contract
Working Pattern: Hybrid (4 Days Office / 1 Day Home)
Start Date: ASAP

Land & Sea Resources are currently recruiting for an Offshore Scheduler on behalf of Spirit Energy to join their Maintenance team.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting safe, efficient and reliable offshore operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimising offshore maintenance schedules, ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance activities are effectively planned, prioritised and executed. Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and vendor teams, you will help maximise asset availability while ensuring compliance with work management processes and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short-term, weekly and frozen offshore maintenance schedules aligned with operational priorities.
  • Prioritise and sequence maintenance activities based on safety, production impact, asset criticality and resource availability.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Team Leads, Technicians, Operations personnel and external vendors to ensure work is fully prepared and ready for execution.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with company Work Management processes, governance requirements and planning standards.
  • Monitor maintenance backlog and support the timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly scheduling meetings, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Optimise maintenance execution by coordinating logistics, materials, personnel and grouped work scopes.
  • Communicate maintenance schedules clearly to all relevant stakeholders and support effective operational coordination.
  • Monitor schedule performance, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote an Incident Free Workplace culture and ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures and offshore standards.
  • Support the effective utilisation of SAP and maintenance scheduling tools to improve planning and execution efficiency.
  • Undertake any other associated duties as reasonably required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in offshore maintenance scheduling, maintenance planning or operations support.
  • Good understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles within a high-hazard or industrial environment.
  • Experience using SAP and maintenance scheduling tools such as Prometheus or Primavera is desirable.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Ability to prioritise maintenance activities based on operational risk, equipment criticality and production impact.
  • Good understanding of offshore HSE requirements and work management processes.
  • Strong organisational, coordination and communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
  • Valid offshore certification such as BOSIET and MIST is desirable.
  • Previous experience within offshore oil & gas or energy operations is preferred.

Working Arrangements

This role is based in Barrow-in-Furness.

Spirit Energy currently operates a hybrid working arrangement for office-based workers:

  • Four days per week in the office.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are mandatory office days.
  • The fourth office day can be either Monday or Friday, depending on team requirements.
  • Contractors may work in the office five days per week if preferred.

Please note:

  • No travel or accommodation allowance is available.
  • PAYE contractors only (no umbrella companies).
