Offshore Planner

Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Contract: 2+ Year Contract
Working Pattern: Hybrid (4 Days Office / 1 Day Home)
Start Date: ASAP

Land & Sea Resources are currently recruiting for an Offshore Planner on behalf of Spirit Energy to join their Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting safe, efficient and reliable offshore operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating integrated offshore plans, ensuring operational activities are prioritised, aligned and fully prepared for execution. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects and Decommissioning teams, you will drive planning excellence while supporting the safe and efficient delivery of offshore activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve integrated planning processes to support offshore operations.
  • Produce and manage integrated asset plans, ensuring activities are prioritised, coordinated and executable.
  • Compile and facilitate 28-day and 3-month (3M) operational plans, driving stakeholder engagement and execution readiness.
  • Provide day-to-day planning support to offshore operations, ensuring priorities align with safety, asset integrity and production objectives.
  • Produce and maintain rolling 4-week (4W) schedules, integrating activities across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects and Decommissioning.
  • Coordinate schedules to maximise operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with planning standards and stage gate processes.
  • Identify and manage SIMOPS conflicts, constraints and operational risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are incorporated into plans.
  • Integrate asset integrity and barrier management considerations into operational planning activities.
  • Contribute to long-term planning activities, including the 8-quarter (8Q) planning process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication of priorities, risks, constraints and resource requirements.
  • Monitor planning performance, analyse plan attainment and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide offshore planning cover for short durations where required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning systems, processes and operational performance.
  • Undertake any other associated duties as reasonably required.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in integrated planning within an offshore oil & gas or energy operations environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and SAP.
  • Experience developing and managing integrated operational schedules across multiple disciplines.
  • Good understanding of Project Controls, including Planning, Cost, Risk and Management of Change (MoC).
  • Knowledge of SIMOPS management and operational risk integration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret planning data and performance metrics.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Technical qualification or engineering background is desirable.
  • Project Management and Planning qualifications are advantageous.
  • Previous experience within offshore oil & gas operations is highly desirable.

Working Arrangements

This role is based in Barrow-in-Furness.

Spirit Energy currently operates a hybrid working arrangement for office-based workers:

  • Four days per week in the office.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are mandatory office days.
  • The fourth office day can be either Monday or Friday, depending on team requirements.
  • Contractors may work in the office five days per week if preferred.

Please note:

  • No travel or accommodation allowance is available.
  • PAYE contractors only (no umbrella companies).
