Job Description:

Company Information: 

For over 40 years our client has been supplying the highest quality industrial equipment to the worlds leading contractors. This has lead them to some prestigious landmarks including the Forth Rail Bridge, Kings Cross Station to name a few. Today, they are true market leaders in the provision of high quality industrial equipment built for a magnitude of tasks with thier core expertise being dust extraction, vacuum recovery and abrasive blasting equipment.

From bridges to ships, petrochemical plants to offshore wind farms, organisations turn to our client for the complete supply solution. Most recently being a key supplier to Hinkley Point C.

We are currently recruiting Mechanical Fitters on behalf of our client based in Washington, Tyne and Wear. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing business, offering genuine prospects for career development.

The Role
You will be a Time-Served Mechanical Fitter with experience in industrial services equipment. The role is varied and includes:

  • Assembly and manufacture of equipment including (but not limited to) Blast Pots, Ventilation Units, and HVAC systems
  • Hands-on workshop-based work in Washington
  • Site installation projects across the UK (all expenses and accommodation provided)

Requirements

  • Time-Served Mechanical Fitter background
  • Experience working on industrial equipment
  • Willingness to undertake site work as required

This is a hands-on role working in an industrial environment with opportunities to work on major projects nationwide.

Salary & Benefits

  • £30,000 per annum + benefits
  • 31 days annual leave (increasing with service)

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Friday: 08:00 – 15:00 (early finish)

Overtime

  • Time and a half: Fridays after 3pm and Saturdays
  • Double time: Sundays and Bank Holidays
