Company Information

Our client, a major player in the defence sector, is seeking an experienced Senior M&E Planner to join a critical, high-profile construction delivery project. This is a site-based role supporting the Construction Leads and Head of Planning to develop and maintain a detailed, integrated delivery programme.

This is not a PMO role — we’re looking for hands-on planning expertise in a live construction delivery setting, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders on a large-scale defence infrastructure programme.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Current SC Clearance or higher (Essential – only candidates with valid clearance will be considered)
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (Enterprise multi-user environment)
  • Strong M&E planning experience on complex infrastructure projects
  • Previous on-site planning experience in delivery of large-scale, high-spec construction
  • NEC contractual mechanisms knowledge, especially Programme for Acceptance
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management, WBS development & schedule creation from limited information
  • Critical Path Analysis, float erosion awareness, and logic sequencing
  • Comfortable challenging supply chain schedules and developing what-if planning scenarios
  • Able to interpret construction drawings and documents to build accurate schedules
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaborative working style

Work Schedule/Hours

• 45 hours per week
• Site-based in Burghfield
• Contract duration: Mid-June 2025 – March 2026
