Hub Support Manager

Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Contract: 2+ Year Contract
Working Pattern: Hybrid (4 Days Office / 1 Day Home)

Land & Sea Resources are currently recruiting for a Hub Support Manager on behalf of Spirit Energy to join their Operations team.

The successful candidate will lead the coordination and integration of support functions across the asset, ensuring effective planning, logistics, materials management and operational delivery across both onshore and offshore operations. The role will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to drive operational excellence, maximise asset performance and maintain compliance with company procedures and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and integration of support functions across the Morecambe Hub, ensuring alignment between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Support teams.
  • Act as the central coordination point for onshore and offshore operational activities, enabling safe and efficient delivery across the asset.
  • Lead and govern the planning function, ensuring delivery of integrated 28-day, 3-month and long-term operational plans.
  • Drive planning quality, execution readiness and consistency across onshore and offshore planning teams.
  • Manage logistics coordination across the hub, ensuring the timely availability of personnel, materials and equipment to support operational requirements.
  • Optimise logistics, materials management and supply chain performance to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Coordinate responses to unplanned events and operational disruptions, supporting the safe recovery of production and asset performance.
  • Ensure activities are fully prepared for execution by identifying and removing barriers to delivery.
  • Coordinate SIMOPS activities across the hub, identifying potential conflicts and ensuring safe execution of simultaneous operations.
  • Interface with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects and Supply Chain teams to align priorities, risks and operational constraints.
  • Monitor planning, logistics and operational performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support Management of Change (MoC), operational planning and risk management activities where required.
  • Support the Operations Manager and Offshore Installation Managers (OIMs) by providing coordination, planning and operational decision support across the hub.
  • Provide leadership cover for key operational roles, including OIM, when required.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Operations or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in planning, logistics, operational coordination or hub support within the oil & gas or wider energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of integrated planning, work management and execution processes.
  • Experience of logistics, materials management and supply chain coordination.
  • Knowledge of Control of Work (CoW) and SIMOPS management.
  • Experience using planning systems such as SAP, Primavera or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of both onshore and offshore operational environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience monitoring operational performance and driving continuous improvement.
  • OIM, BOSIET and Offshore Medical certification or the ability to obtain required competency certifications is desirable.

Working Arrangements

This role is based in Barrow-in-Furness.

Spirit Energy currently operates a hybrid working arrangement for office-based workers:

  • Four days per week in the office.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are mandatory office days.
  • The fourth office day can be either Monday or Friday, depending on team requirements.
  • Contractors may work in the office five days per week if preferred.

Please note:

  • No travel or accommodation allowance is available.
  • PAYE contractors only (no umbrella companies).
