Job Title

We are seeking a High Voltage Control Engineer to work in the Control Room in our clients office in Belfast!

Company Information

Established in 2021 in the UK, our client’s team operates across the globe and has more than 100 years’ experience within the energy sector.

Having built a strong reputation across challenging environments, they are a preferred supplier for onshore and offshore high voltage services, trusted for their breadth of skills and competencies across the energy sector.

They specialise in a range of high voltage solutions including operations and maintenance, electrical safety management and coordination through their Control Centre, high and extra high voltage jointing, and 24/7 emergency support for fault and repairs.

Job Summary or Overview

The successful candidate will report directly to the Control Room Manager.

Key Responsibilities

High Voltage safety co-ordination

• Network monitoring
• Managing the interface of control boundaries
• Management of authorisation database
• Dispatch of authorised personnel outside normal working hours

Required Qualifications/Skills

Previous experience working in an engineering service business or UK DNO

• Relevant experience/exposure in the above disciplines
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 rota
• Fully proficient in all MS Office applications

Work Schedule/Hours

Full-time

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Previous authorisation as a Control Engineer or SAP with a UK DNO or reputable company

• GWO offshore certification
• 3rd level qualification in electrical engineering

Our client is particularly interested in applicants with UK DNO SAP/Control experience.
