We’re currently recruiting an experienced Forensic Claims Planner to support our Commercial and Planning teams on a high-profile and complex project within a highly regulated environment. This role offers a rare opportunity to work closely on the resolution of contractor time delay claims and contribute significantly to project outcomes.
Following an initial on-site familiarisation period, flexible hybrid working will be available.
You will be seconded to the Commercial Team and work alongside the Forensic Claims Planning Manager to:
Review and challenge contractor delay claims and compensation events
Coach and support the supply chain to ensure consistent and high-quality claim submissions
Conduct regular progress and delay reviews with contractors and internal teams
Provide technical and construction expertise during claims analysis and resolution
Use planning tools (Primavera P6) to assess delays, float erosion, critical paths, and mitigation options
Collaborate with the Project Manager and Commercial Team during claims negotiation
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years in a Planning role, with at least 2 years in Claims/Delay Analysis
Expertise in Primavera P6, preferably within an Enterprise environment
Strong grasp of planning principles, critical path analysis, and delay assessment methodologies
Ability to interrogate and validate construction methods, schedules, and impacts
Hands-on experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts, particularly in relation to Time and Compensation Events
Proven ability to engage constructively with contractors and project stakeholders
Solid technical understanding of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project delivery
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is desirable
Industry Background:
Experience working on complex construction projects
Background in Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (M&E) is preferred
Nuclear industry experience is an advantage
SC Clearance is desirable, but not essential
Qualifications (Desirable):
Degree or vocational qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Controls
Claims management training or certifications
Membership of a relevant professional body (CIArb, ACostE, APM)
