Job Summary:

The Technician is responsible for supporting Senior Engineering and/or Project personnel in the completion and delivery of all Engineering related activities and deliverables, for both Enquiries and Projects, as delegated by the Outfitting Design Lead. The role shall have a degree of self-governance. The role will be split across a number of tenders and projects, as allocated by the Engineering Manager, namely, but not limited to:

• Design and Build of Onshore and Offshore Modular Buildings
• New Build Marine & Offshore Architectural Outfitting
• Refurbishment of Offshore & Marine Architectural Outfitting
• Design & Supply of Naval/Marine/Offshore Galley & Laundry Equipment and Furniture

Key Responsibilities

• Production of 2D drawings & layouts inc. services and furnishings.
• Production and management of Document Registers, BOM’s, Schedules and Specifications
• Assisting with Site Surveys/visits
• Assist with feasibility studies and preliminary design work
• Assist with completion of Technical drawings and documents
• Attend kick-off and progress meetings with clients, suppliers and stakeholders, as required

Required Qualifications/Skills:

ESSENTIAL

• Competent “user-level” experience with AutoCAD 2D
• Microsoft Office and general IT skills
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment and meet challenging timescales

DESIRABLE

• Experience of Interior Fit-Out Design (Hotels, Hospitals, Retail, etc)
• Working knowledge of 3D modelling software (Revit, etc)
• Experience within the Oil & Gas and Marine or sectors

Work Schedule/Hours:

40hrs - (core hours 8-5 Mon-Thurs & 8-2 Fri but flexible)

Essential skills required/Tasks and responsibilities required on the project?              

1. Working Knowledge of AutoCAD
2. Architectural Background (ideally within Offshore or Marine but not essential) 3. Microsoft Office (excel/word)

Qualifications/Certificates Required:

1. Technical Qualification or proven experience in use of AutoCAD
2. Ideally Technical Qualification in Architectural Design
   

Salary and Benefits:

Circa £35k per annum – But negotiable depending on experience
