Logistics & Materials Lead

Location: Barrow-in-Furness or Aberdeen
Contract Type: PAYE Contract
Duration: 2 Years
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Hybrid (4 days office-based, Tuesday to Thursday mandatory)

Land & Sea Resources are recruiting on behalf of Spirit Energy for a Logistics & Materials Lead to join their Supply Chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support offshore operations through to the planned cessation of production at the Morecambe Hub.

The Role

As Logistics & Materials Lead, you will act as the key interface between the business and logistics service providers, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of logistics and materials management services across offshore operations.

You will oversee marine, aviation, warehouse, and quayside logistics activities while driving inventory optimisation, contractor performance, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including marine, aviation, road transport, and material movements
  • Oversee warehouse, supply base, and inventory management activities
  • Manage third-party logistics providers, vessel operators, aviation contractors, and warehouse teams
  • Coordinate offshore personnel, equipment, and material movements
  • Lead helicopter and marine logistics planning and scheduling
  • Monitor contractor performance and service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with customs, legal, regulatory, and HSE requirements
  • Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities for rigs and vessels
  • Act as Technical Assurance representative for marine and aviation logistics

Requirements

  • Proven experience within offshore logistics, materials management, or supply chain operations
  • Experience managing logistics contracts, suppliers, and third-party service providers
  • Strong knowledge of marine and/or aviation operations
  • SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, industry standards, and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or equivalent relevant experience
  • Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Sea and Air certification
  • Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, MIST, and Medical (desirable)
