MMA Welders – Plymouth (Submarine Project)

Location: Plymouth
Project Type: Submarine
Hours: 50 hours per week (with potential for additional hours as the project progresses)

Rates (Umbrella, inclusive of lodge):

• Basic: £34.50/hr
• Backshift: £42.00/hr
• Weekday Nightshift: £46.00/hr
• Sunday Overtime: £46.00/hr
• Sunday Night: £49.00/hr

Please note:

• All 50 hours are paid at the basic rate.
• Candidates attending a weld test will also be paid at the basic rate.

Requirements:

• Experienced MMA Welder
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Willing and able to obtain Full SC Clearance
• Ability to pass a weld test

Weld Test Details (MMA):

• 12mm butt weld in the overhead position
• 25mm plate (in two stages): one side vertical, then backside horizontal
• 25mm plate (in two stages): overhead first, then backside down hand position
• Evidence of eye test (within the last 18 months) is desirable
