Job Description:
Hope you can help us. We are looking for two QA/QC inspectors for a decommissioning scope in UK.
The scope of work
- To maintain accurate oversight and assurance of the dismantling and recycling activities performed by the dismantling contractor.
- This role has no contractual authority and is not expected to make decisions or sign off any documentation on behalf of the Client, except for the authority to intervene or stop the operation in case of safety, quality infringements or the procedures not being followed by the dismantling contractor.
The Schedule of work:
The contractor site personnel will structure their working hours based on the contractor's programme:
- Working Days - Current Contractor plan is 12 number of consecutive days at yard, with every 2nd weekend off.
Note: this could change based on contractor execution strategy to a normal working week of 5 days/ week (TBC)
Working Hrs:
Week one - Monday to Thursday 12hrs and Friday to Sunday 8hrs
Week Two - Monday to Thursday 12hrs, Friday 8hrs and weekend off
Please be aware that the above could change based on methodology and contractor programme of work. Example 8hrs a day for 5 days/ week.
Approx. Baseline is 24 months but note as per above the programme, it could be fast-tracked to 18 months.
The Requirement of the Role:
The candidate should have a construction background, knowledge about CDM will be beneficial (the Construction [Design and Management] Regulations 2015), ideally offshore work experience and dismantling / decommissioning experience.
The location is at a port near Hartlepool.
